Independence
Editorial decisions are made by our editors alone. Advertisers, affiliate programmes and brands have no input into what we cover or what we recommend, and they do not see articles before publication. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored rankings or free products in exchange for coverage.
Accuracy and sourcing
- Dimensions and weight limits come from manufacturer specifications or listings, and we note the source.
- Claims about safety, materials or installation are checked against manufacturer instructions.
- We distinguish clearly between facts, our analysis and our opinion.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help with research organisation, outlines and copy-editing. A human editor checks every product fact, measurement and recommendation before publication and is responsible for the final article. We do not publish automatically generated pages.
Images
We use our own photos and diagrams, or images licensed for reuse with the creator and licence credited under each image. We do not reuse retailer product photos except where a retailer’s programme explicitly permits it.
Commercial content
Pages with affiliate links carry a disclosure before the first link, and UK-facing recommendations are labelled “Ad”. Links to retailers use rel="sponsored". See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it promptly. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article with the date. Report an error via our Contact page.
Updates
Articles show a “last updated” date. An update means we re-checked the content, not just changed the date.
